Just when you think Johnny Manziel has hit rock bottom, he lowers his shoulder and blows right through it. Because he has gone from bar tabs to attorneys. From rehab to affidavits.
And this one says he allegedly struck his ex-girlfriend Colleen Crowley and ruptured her ear drum. She filed for a protective order against Manziel last week, and NBC5 reported she stated in the affidavit, Manziel dragged her down some steps, put her in the car against her will, only for her to jump out and hide in some bushes. Then, she says he grabbed her by the hair, threw her in the car and hit her with an open hand on her left ear. Oh also, she says they passed a valet who she pleaded with for help, saying “Please dont’ let him take me. I’m scared for my life!” According to Crowley, the valet responded that he didn’t know what to do.
What? They didn’t cover that in valet school? Hotels and restaurants might want to put that in the valet training program going forward: here’s how you park the car. And here’s what to do if a woman says some scumbag quarterback is threatening her life. You did nothing, because you didn’t know what to do? There’s a very long list of things you could do, starting with, you don’t let the scumbag take her. I hope you like that gig, because the fact that you didn’t know what to do, and did nothing, leads me to believe no better job offers are coming any time soon, coward.
We’re not exactly talking J.J. Watt or Greg Hardy; probably just about any valet could handle Johnny Manziel. Except this one.
But obviously, this isn’t about some valet who choked in one of life’s critical moments. This is about Manziel threatening to take his ex-girlfriend and his own life, allegedly.
Remember when his biggest question mark was whether he can play in the pocket? Then it was hitting the bottle. Now it’s hitting women. From disrupting the locker room to rupturing ear drums.
Again, let me qualify, this is what she alleges happened in her affidavit. He told TMZ the assault never happened.
But if it did, it would be the second of its sort. Maybe it didn’t, but given this guy’s act and the fact that his own father says he may not be alive to see his next birthday, it’s pretty hard to give Manziel the benefit of the doubt.
His ex-girlfriend probably filed for the protective order because she’s afraid she’s not going to make it to her next birthday, with Manziel running around rupturing her eardrum.
Being a rich, spoiled, self-entitled d-bag with no accountability and responsibility is one thing. Being a guy who assaults women is entirely another. And if that’s what he did, that’s the worst kind of coward, and the worst kind of guy there is.
And if that’s true, I have no empathy for this guy at all.
And on top of that, he doesn’t think he has a problem. So if this report is true and this really happened, this guy is the worst kind of lowlife there is. Not just a self-entitled punk, throwing away God-given talent, and his career, but a piece of garbage who should be locked up.
